From workwear uniforms and branded clothing to linens, Kloth Cares, a fabric recycling movement operating in Malaysia and Singapore, offers specialised recycling solutions for corporations, fashion brands, as well as the healthcare and hospitality sectors.
Unlike the standard fabric recycling process, where garments are typically reused or distributed as second-hand clothing, corporate uniforms and branded textiles must be handled separately. Our solution, “Special Care Recycling,” is designed specifically to manage unwanted clothing and fabric items that are unsuitable for entry into the global second-hand market, in order to protect identity and brand integrity. Corporations also seek to prevent unauthorised individuals from impersonating personnel using stolen corporate attire, which can lead to various risks such as unauthorised access, fraud, or other criminal activities.
The Special Care Recycling service accepts corporate and brand-sensitive items, including the following:
Branded corporate or luxury goods: Shirts, trousers, jackets, bags, shoes and leather goods with company logos
Healthcare: Hospital linens, blankets, curtains, patient gowns and nurse uniforms
Hospitality: Hotel linens, bedding, blankets, towels and banquet table covers
Footwear: Safety boots and branded footwear
Technical Wear: Cleanroom garments
How Will These Textiles Be Processed?
Corporate uniforms and branded textiles are recycled as processed engineered fuel (PEF). Processed engineered fuel, a sustainable alternative to fossil fuels like coal and natural gases, is designed to harness energy from combustible materials such as textiles, plastics, cardboard, papers and waste timber for the cement kiln that requires high energy input.
Waste is collected, shredded, dried, and processed into alternative fuel in the cement manufacturing process, i.e., used in industrial co-processing, hence reducing waste, generating energy, and decreasing reliance on fossil fuels.

For companies that require extra oversight, Kloth Cares Special Care Recycling offers additional services, e.g., mutilation and dedicated trucks to ensure these goods are protected and shredded prior to recycling. Through the mutilation process, these goods are condemned as entirely unusable before baling them for PEF recycling. This service is available as an optional add-on.
The downcycling process of corporate uniforms and brand-sensitive items begins by:
