Kloth Circularity Denim Reimagined for a Better Future

Kuala Lumpur, March 5th, 2025 – Kloth Woman Up, a flagship brand of Kloth Circularity, is excited to announce its recent collaboration with Wing Tai Fashion for the ‘Denim Upcycling Campaign.’ This initiative breathes new life into unwanted Wing Tai Fashion denim fabrics, transforming them into innovative upcycled merchandise, and now available for purchase at the wt+ store in Lalaport Bukit Bintang City Centre.

Despite at least 95% of textiles and clothing being recyclable, vast amounts still end up in landfills and incinerators. To address the issue, Kloth Circularity—renowned for its environmental and social sustainability efforts in the textile and clothing industry,  and aligned with its Kloth 5R Principles of ‘Rethink, Reduce, Reuse, Repurpose, Recycle’, —is partnering with Wing Tai Fashion to repurpose denim waste into stylish, wearable and functional items. These upcycled products include drawstring bags, knot bags, tote bags, lanyards, ID cardholders, and hair ties, with prices ranging from RM15.80 to RM58.80.

Beyond sustainability, Kloth Woman Up champions ‘Rising with #SHEconomy,’ an initiative dedicated to uplifting women from marginalised, struggling, and vulnerable communities in the art of creative sewing. By creating fair-wage job opportunities in the informal sector, this collaboration empowers women while tackling textile waste—proving that every stitch can drive positive change for both people and the planet.

The Denim Upcycling Campaign was officially launched on January 10, 2025, at the wt+ store (G-26, Ground Floor, Lalaport Bukit Bintang City Centre) and will run until June 2025. The launch event featured an unveiling of the store’s dedicated upcycled merchandise section, attended by media representatives and Wing Tai Fashion’s valued customers. Guests also participated in an interactive upcycling workshop, where Kloth Circularity trainers guided them in creating their own upcycled bag charms.

This collaboration underscores the shared commitment of Kloth Circularity and Wing Tai Fashion to sustainability, conscious consumption, and social impact. With every upcycled product sold, consumers are not only reducing fabric waste but also contributing to a movement that empowers women and fosters a circular economy.
